Another Chapter .
I am in my element when writing about Amalia, my super hero, nasty, Goth like chic who has attitude. Maybe she is everything I'm not, and trust me, I have been asked often enough about this. I always say no, and even now I will deny the connection, but I wouldn't mind being like her sometimes.
Amalia has just found out what she is, which is a small shock but not a biggie as the reader will already know she is the hero here, but the young woman is shaken by the revelation; shit so would I and if I thought hard enough about it I'd probably be cowering in the bathroom crying, thinking about where I'd gone wrong and who I could call to explain. Fortunately Amalia is not me and she just has to tough it out.
I suppose if you have read Uttuku you might be able to make some comparisons when Deep Blood, Red Lips is released (Have to finish it first) you might be able to see even more. I did have some one say that Amalia could be seen a bit like Buffy, or Angel - I had to think about this. How many humans does Buffy have to kill, disfigure or cripple to stay alive. Angel is a different matter, but even though evil and good was on show, with Amalia there is no such thing, no religious over or undertones, no crosses to ward anyone off.
If you like Lara Andrews' books about me, I am hoping you will like the books I have written. Anyway, I've completed another chapter, time for a drink.
